Government or Organized Crime?

In all of my many years of life, I have trusted government to operate pursuant to the United States Constitution. Yes, there were times when I was not happy or pleased over some particular act of Congress, or ruling by the Supreme Court, but I was always secure in my belief that our government would protect the rights of its citizens and protect individual freedom. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that government would evolve into the organized crime operation that it presently is. When it takes hundreds of millions of dollars in campaign contributions for the President and members of Congress to get elected, once elected to their office, there is required payback. Individual liberties and freedoms are now being trampeled on and the Constitution shredded to reward unions and special interest groups that will ensure that the organized crime leadership retains power.
I feel like a lonely voice calling from the wilderness of an America that is no longer a Republic of free citizens, protected by the most wisely designed and crafted document ever written. In their selfishness and greed to have government provide to all of their needs, citizens seem willing to throw individual freedom and rights out of the window.
It is now obvious to me that the present administration's goal is to create a government closely paralleling the socialist dictatorship of Venezuela. It is frightening! If Obama and the Democrat controlled Congress pass health care legislation that an overwhelming majority of the American people do not want, they will have taken a giant step toward socialism. They may be making a foolish mistake in believing that the American public will roll over and accept this outrageous dictatorial action on the part of government. However, liberal socialists have cleverly taken control of America's education system and brain washed America's youth into believing the Constitution is a living document that can be changed to meet the needs of a socialist society. While implementing their agenda liberal socialists are creating a national debt that weakens our nation and makes it vulnerable to take over by terrorist or communist regimes.
I have no idea as to how to prevent the demise of America and therefore write this in sadness and frustration. I can only pray that God protect and preserve this nation.
