My Friend and Inspiration
Many years have passed since John H. Briant and I worked together as brothers in the family that goes by the name of New York State Police. Trooper Briant was the epitome of what a law enforcement officer should be and he was an inspiration to me. After a long and outstanding career in the State Police, John's latent artistic talents were allowed to emerge and he began penning the Adirondack Detective series of books depicting Private Investigator (retired NYSP Investigator) Jason Black (the personna of his creator) as a devoted champion of truth, justice and the American way. The Adirondack Detective is a very likeable unassuming, personable hero,trying to enjoy a peaceful retirement in the beautiful Adirondack Mountains, but criminals constantly require his attention. Briant has developed a very loyal following of readers who enjoy following Jason Black's adventures.
John Briant is a creative, talented author of books, but he is also an accomplished artist specializing in painting Adirondack landscapes. One of his masterpieces graces one wall of our den.
I consider myself blessed to count Author/Artist John H. Briant as my friend and during our tenure in the New York State Police, he so impressed me that I have included Private Investigator Jason Black (John Briant) in my about to be released book, The Treasure of Valcour Island. The physical description and personality of the Jason Black portrayed in my story is a reflection of John H. Briant.

Why Is America Brain Dead?
What I never thought I would see has happened! The government now controls the health industry and with it, controls 1/6th of the American economy. What in hell has happened in the nation that fought for individual rights and freedom from tyranny?
Are my fellow citizens so naive that they cannot envision the demise of the Republic? Sadly, I believe the majority of American citizens are more in tune with American Idol and phony reality tv shows than they are with the conduct of the government that represents them. There are Americans who work for a living, who pay taxes to support the government, and then there are Americans who sit on their ass, hold their hand out and ask government to give them everything.
It would be disirable and wonderful for everyone to have health insurance, but it is not a right guaranteed under the Constitution of the United States. The people who actually work and pay for government's existence are not obligated to pay for anyone else's health insurance, regardless of how humanitarian it may sound and seem. WE ARE ESPECIALLY NOT OBLIGATED TO PAY FOR ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS HEALTH INSURANCE! I am absolutely certain that if I get ill in Mexico or some other South of the border country, that the government of that country is not going to pay for my medical treatment!
Am I a lonely voice crying in the wilderness when I express outrage at the path toward destruction that our present administration is following?
I believe that I now know Barack Obama's agenda, and it is frightening! I am convinced that Obama is pushing the progressive socialist agenda as fast as he possibly can to intentionally drive a wedge between segments of American society. He intends to so anger the citizens who actually pay for government's existence, that they rise up in revolution. As the President and Commander-in-Chief, he will then declare martial law and use the military to quell the rebellion. After gaining the power that basically grants him the status of dictator, he will not relinquish that power. Obama is so obsessed with power and greed that he has no intention of relinquishing that power. If he isn't successful in establishing a dictatorship, he will succeed in cementing progressive liberals in control of America. All of this spells disaster for what was a great nation before the people who were mesmerized into moronity elected him to the office of President.
Most people who read this will probably disagree and in truth, I truly hope and pray that my assessment is wrong.

Organizeed Crime At Its Finest
It is absolutely devastating to see that an organized crime faction has taken control of federal government.
I did not and could not envision that government would evolve into the despicable operation that it has become.
I intend to send a letter to the Atlanta Federal Prosecutor's office asking him how he enjoys working in an organized crime family.
When in the course of human events, the government takes it upon themselves to become a dictatorship, it is encumbent upon the people to rise up and take back control.
